Soft steps, but he heard

Urge resisted, image blurred

She caressed his silhouette

with lashes engaged

His guided embrace

she twirled with grace

Once more he lifted

amidst thunderous applause

A forehead kissed

and a heart touched

The magic showed

She belonged to him

Platinum Day of Love: Man on knees- almost

In story, Uncategorized on November 8, 2013 at 17:31

It was a week since he had seen her. Her smile still etched in his memories, when he gave her some tips in dancing. Deep down he thought she must be feeling awkward with a barrage of dancing tips he gave. But then that was what he had loved doing, that was what helped him stay afloat. So many times betrayed, he found discipline and love in Dance. He had thought over this whole day. Should he risk it? Should he risk it just one more time?

Her pictures on the wall were now floating right past his eyes. He felt a strong pull in his legs being rooted to the bed where he rested. He had told himself time and again “Never again”. That calming voice of just a simple “thank you!” was it enough to let his guard down once again? Her eyes, that spoke the truth.

Stay where you are in comfort

And you will lie there forever

Risk it for once with trust

and let life blossom all over

And so he decided to risk it. One Last time. Again!

It kept drizzling that evening. He still decided to pack his bags and make it to the dance class. With his t-shirt almost drenched, he stepped out, with his carefully packed jeans and tee for the night. Her class was about to end as he nearly skidded his way into the class. His eyes were searching for her, did she skip the class today? She had been weak, but today was not the day to skip!

There she was, tiny frame lost in between towering figures, only his eyes could have found her. After the usual exchange of pleasant smiles he popped the question, which was more like a coercion “See you at the social”.

“Ya sure, i am a bit scared but fine”

“Why scared?” he asked

“I’m not that good as you” she smiled.

He kept blushing. That evening he felt all alone smiling at every partner that he danced with. People did notice the change in him. He felt like that teenager he was before, who penned his heart out in his diary over and over again. He never thought it will come back to him, this feeling.

That night at the social, he felt confident to walk up to her and ask “Shall we dance”. The music kept the pace with his steps for he was dancing to her tunes, than lead her on floor. He only stopped when she looked at him and smiled. She had to leave.

Back in his room with a song on his ipod watching her dance on the wall, he kept thinking how crazy he has been. It was the beginning of a never ending dance. God had played it perfect with this dancer who just Waltzed her way into his life, and he could not stop dreaming how they were dancing on the curves of this infinite bond. It was his magical moment, so pure, so rare it had never been better, it felt like an angel had touched him to go out and fulfill his dreams. As rare and pure as platinum, her loving eyes and smile had comforted him enough to start believing in Love again!  His eternal love he knew was here on his Platinum Day of Love .

Morning and ever after

Her febrile body twitched

She wanted to lie down some more

As the sunlight kissed her face

He was about to reach the door

Just then she smiled a little

He passed on her favourite wink

She woke up from her sleep

A moment when they both didn blink

She demanded her daily kiss

He played on a little

Ruthlessly the candy denied

To make the kid cry some more

And then he happily obliged

55 Words or less: Packing Love

In 55 words or less on February 12, 2013 at 12:58

She woke up early. Promise had to be kept. She cooked his favorite. It was his first day after all. He got dressed, without any help. Cold winter morning didn’t make it easy. She packed some love and placed it in his bag. She managed a peck on his cheek, before his school bus arrived!

Coming back to Love

It rained last night. Every drop of tear from her eyes killed him inside. They nearly brought the whole house down.

Ego was fighting love over time.

He was late for work. Just then he saw her walk towards him. She folded his sleeves like before. He planted the kiss on her forehead.

He looked at his finger,
There used to be a promise right there
she dances and fades, leaving the rash still there
Smoke fills the room and memories linger.

55 words or less: Its a Yes!

Two hot burgers on a chilly day, perfect, Ashley thought. The sad expression on this girl’s face made Ashley stop. She held on to the Guy’s jacket. Ashley looked at the watch. The girl was there again.

She was blowing a kiss, stretching out from her cab, happy.

She was wearing the jacket.

P.S- Had to edit to clear confusion

Baby keeps Sand

In poetry on May 27, 2011 at 09:32

Like a baby
with his little hand
I tried holding on
To this timeless sand

The harder I clench
The more I lose
It keeps coming back
and claims it will bruise

The baby loves sand
and is happy when he holds
He tries harder each time
You will lose he has been told

Who should decide?
The baby or the sand?
Whether to stay
or leave the baby’s hand?

My Sunshine

In poetry on March 9, 2011 at 22:49

Its a perfect morning
As I wake up by your side
To see my sunshine smile
My day is brighter, You decide

Two minutes is all you want
As you tuck yourself in me
The hug keeps getting tighter
as its time for me to leave

That smirk on your face
Makes me wonder for a while
Pounce on me you will
This world can go take a hike

The wardrobe is now open
As you sit down all confused
“Too many”, I say is the problem
You grin and reply “Too few”

Now the rose meets the cheek
As I see you turn away
Wish I could live in this moment
Even tears now will betray

My muse

In poetry on February 27, 2011 at 13:19

So I look out of my window

Stare at the cars

Thinking about the conversation

That just ripped me apart

Then I sit down again

Having stopped myself last

To pen down this feeling

How I hate myself in this part

Run out of door now

get drenched in the rain

How foolish to feel that

It will take away the pain

No moment has passed

That touched upon your heart

Seconds of each minute

Each minute of every hour

My words have lost meaning

As I look at the stars

I lie on my back now

Look at the wall

Pictures are all hazy

As I wait for the call

I Know the eyes are moist now

I get ready for my fall

I reach out to you now

Wont make you feel alone

Open arms have worked

Something I should have known

Cuddle up this moment

I wished I could do

Rush back this moment

Is How much I love my muse
