Team: The Maverick X

Three cats rolled over her trying to wake her up as she rolled in her bed trying to sleep some more. The buddha rug she hung on the wall and Tibetan chants on her music system  “15 missed calls from that bitch again” mumbled Jeniffer. Reality shows were taking a toll on Jeniffer, her dream was to walk the ramp, with her own showstopper. Right now she was busy following orders of her producer whom she thought didn understand a thing about fashion.

Fashion magazines were littered on her floor when she caught hold of a Vogue edition , she liked the buzz cut, it defined what she was, Edgy. She wanted it. “Did you see the new Vogue, I want that, yes I am coming right over” she fixed her appointment with her stylist. She had enough time on her hands. Morning ablutions be damned she headed over to her coffee maker. Black Hot coffee just the way she liked it.

Flipping through the pages of Vogue she adjusted her skull rings on her hands as she lit a cigarette. Vogue did not amaze her anymore so she headed back to finish a little bit of her latest Murakami book. A sip from unfinished beer bottle from last night’s house party made her drowsy again. “Get a grip on yourself” she said to herself and shook her head frantically. One of her cats had jumped upon her. Cats were her family now, what would she not give up for them. They were hungry, she placed the fishes cooked for last nights party for them.

A quick trip to her favourite stylist ensured she was now sporting the latest Buzz cut.

“Where have you been, get your arse here right away, yes the same coffee shop” a message on her phone made her smile. She headed to meet her friends at her favourite hang out place, local Barista shop. There was something about that place, she made her first set of friends in Mumbai there. Their friendship had grown, listening and singing songs by Beatles to the strumming of guitars, smoking away to glory, discussing work, fashion. Her set of friends even had the same tattoo on their calves, lyrics from Imagine-

“You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one”

Jeniffer was already thinking about her next tattoo, little paw marks for her kittens. Jeniffer packed her outfit and left to meet her friends at Barista. After clicking multiple pictures from multiple angles using her phone as she waited for her friends to join. It was routine, she never missed clicking her pictures every time she dressed up, she needed it for her fashion blog. She wanted to tell the world her idea of fashion was more wearable than what the girls saw on the ramp. Her friends loved her new look, they hoped they could be as edgy as Jeniffer was. After another a round of coffees and cigarettes Jeniffer headed home.

She always made it a point to write one fashion post for her blog everyday. She was thrilled as her skull rings and silver jewellery looked amazing on her and not to mention her new buzz cut. she had enough material for today’s post. After editing her pictures and being convinced it would get her a lot of compliments from her regular readers, she began composing her post on her Macbook. She had not even finsihed her post when she got a call, she hurriedly pressed Submit on her post and left with her bag.
