Visualize and Realize

Dreams are a part of us. It is what keeps us going. Imagine waking up one day and not having any goal any dream to pursue. Perhaps a human being without any dream or passion to create will lose his sense of living life.

Goals are what help us achieve what we dream of. They are like milestones in this journey called life. One should always break up his dream into smaller achievable goals. It gives one a sense of accomplishment and helps self to stay motivated and achieve what one wants.

We become what we behold. We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.ā€

Marshall McLuhan

Tools are what help us achieve our goals. Say you want to be that cool Architect- what are your tools? Skills you need to acquire through education, drafting tools, software, magazine subscription, you can go on with the list.

One challenge that perhaps most product creators come across is that of Real-ization. I call it not being able to immediately see physically what you have visualized in your mind. And it leads to problems like:

  1. Multiple iterations
  2. Forgetting what you visualized
  3. Not being able to foresee problems that may happen with the product
  4. Waiting for the prototype to be developed

Imagine a phone that could do this for you. A phone which can take your commands in any format- voice, scribble, touch etc. and help you see in reality by giving you an output in 3D format. Kind of like having your own 3D printer in your pocket, which is actually your phone.

I would like to give this super power to my phone. Ideas come anywhere, in the loo, while travelling in train, or in the coffee shop. I would love to see how my product ideas will look in reality. Its a different thing to just visualize in mind, and sad to not being able to keep a record of it in physical form. This super power will help me keep my product ideas with me, forever and will help to come up with something path breaking.

Asus is coming up with a new phone Zenfone, i hope in future they do build a phone of my dreams šŸ™‚

  1. I could relate with your idea absolutely. Many times when I am on a move, there comes and idea and soon its lost.. Wish there was a phone that could capture the idea the moment they popped up.
