Pain of a blog reader

In poetry on August 24, 2009 at 11:47

oh wt btfl wrds u usd
to tl s wt wnt thr ur mnd
mks it wee bt easr fr me
if u leav sms lngo bhnd

This is actually what i commented on one of the blogs that i follow. It would be really nice if one uses complete words instead of sms lingo

The same paragraph repeated below, to make one realize that it makes life easier for the blog reader if one stops using sms lingo:

oh what beautiful words you used
to tell us what went through your mind
makes it wee bit easier for me
if you leave sms lingo behind

Happy blogging 😀

  1. Well yes !! It goes true for every communication that we make in our day to day life.. Be it talking to someone, writing sms or emails or even the exams 🙂

  6. LOL!! you took the words right out of my mouth!
this actually confuses and irritates me in equal measure too 🙂
I think I might have been on the same path but a wise friend stopped me from doing it in the initial days of blogging 😀

btw the example you have given hits hard ..what a beautiful comment the recipient will miss out on just because of sms lingo 🙂

  13. You are so right. I hate these words some people are rather fond of using.
    I also hate…lols. lmao, rofl.
My English teacher, ( who might be dead by now…she was pretty old some 20 years back) would have had an apoplectic fit if she ever saw us using such language.

  14. when I started ‘blogging’ I used certain chat lingo in my posts (rarely) unconsciously but some people repeatedly pointed out that how distracting that is and thankfully I was ‘reformed’ .. now whenever I see people using these kind of words in posts or comments it irritates me big time.. then I realize how irritating my posts would have been .. *sigh*

  22. Oh….sms lingo gets my goat!!! Even in text messages. I don’t mind ‘u’ or ‘btw’ or a few things like that in texts…but the example you gave…drives me mad! And yes, it’s a zillion times worse when it’s on blogs! I refuse to read those… 😛
