IPL goes global….

In Uncategorized on March 22, 2009 at 02:33

Its official…the baap of all entertainment shows is going global. Due to security issues it will not be held in India. The bad part is that fans in India will not be able to catch their favourite players in stadium. I think IPL was creating the same fan following amongst Indians in the same way as EPL and other football leagues across world,  has done for football fans across the world.

The good thing now i think is cricketers will no longer have security as a concern, not that India could not have provided security. India will also be hosting its own 5-yearly political contest, so that is going to be interesting too.
Its going to be tough this year i guess.Teams have had enough time to think over their strategies (Rahul dravid does not fit into IPL frankly, and Royal challengers have done good enough to Getting back to the teams,Sehwag and Gambhir are in amazing form and that gives Delhi daredevils a fair chance to make it to semis.Rajasthan Royals should not have much problem in reaching semis. Chennai super kings too has more support in form of flintoff in all rounder. Kolkatta Knightriders may spring up a suprise during tournament, but i still dont see them making it to semis this time. Rest of the teams, may find it tough to make a mark.
Players to watch out for: Duminy (He’s the man this time according to me)
